Theo Walcott should not bother about the Critics

Theo Walcott has at last the dream start to the season and it should give him a lot of mental confidence. He has scored 4 goals in 3 premier league matches and it is clear that he will be an important factor for Arsenal this season. He suffered a lot of criticism in the last few months but it is nice to see that he has become matured and now playing very well.
Walcott said, "It’s one of the things I have to live with but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
But the people I listen to are the boss, Mr Capello, the players and my family. They are the most important people in my career. I’ll do my talking on the pitch.
I always want to improve. I’m still 21 and I want to play every game when I can, especially after last season with so many injuries. But at 21 I’m playing for Arsenal and England and that is not a bad achievement so far."

The player should leave the memory of not being selected for World Cup 2010. Now, many people think that it was a mistake from Capello. Even Messi said the same thing. Walcott should just focus on this season and try to score many more goals for the club.

Manchester United Comes on Top of West Ham by 3-0

Manchester United got an empathetic victory against West Ham today with the score line 3-0. Wayne Rooney scored his first goal of the season. With this win, Manchester United is now in the 3rd position in point table with 7 points from 3 matches.
In the half time, the score was 1-0. Wayne Rooney’s goal came in 33 minutes from a penalty. The other two goals were scored by Nani 50 minute and Berbatov 69 minute respectively.
This defeat has put West Ham in the last in the point table. They have yet to secure any point in EPL this season and goal difference of -8 will not make anyone happy in the club.
Chelsea and Arsenal both won today. However, Tottenham lost to Wigan 0-1. It was a very bad match to lose because it was a home match for Tottenham.
As for the next matches, Manchester United will travel to Everton while West Ham will entertain league leader Chelsea. Both these two matches will take place on 11 September 2010.
In an off topic, I am excited about the upcoming Apple Music Event. What about you?

Arsenal’s Interest in Mark Schwarzer Leaves Almunia Unsettled

Arsenal goalkeeper Manuel Almunia has found his future with the Gunners uncertain as manager Arsene Wenger has kept trying to sign Fulham’s Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.

Wenger has been on the lookout for a new keeper throughout the summer as the performance of Almunia and his understudy Lukasz Fabianski was poor last season. They made a number of mistakes, costing Arsenal important points.

All the rumors and speculations regarding the arrival of a new keeper and its subsequent impact on Alumnia’s future at the North London club has made it difficult for the 33-year-old Spaniard to concentrate on the field. Almunia’s lack of confidence was even visible in his shaky performance during Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Sunday.

Arsenal has been linked with a number of goalkeepers all through the summer, but it seems Schwarzer has remained the no. 1 choice for Wenger. Arsenal has already had a £2 million bid rejected by Fulham who demands £4 million. There are still around 2 weeks left in the Summer transfer window. So, there are all the possibilities Wenger could make an improved offer to secure the service of Schwarzer.

Almunia has also revealed that he would consider his Arsenal future, if someone new come in, but as of now he is happy at Arsenal and does not want to talk about his future.

Ashley Cole to Real Madrid: Still Looks Uncertain

Since his appointment as the new Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho has been tracking Chelsea left back Ashley Cole as one of his transfer priorities in the Summer transfer market. It is also pretty much clear that England international is also looking for a new start following his personal life debacle.

However, Chelsea has showed no sign of letting the 29-year-old go and manager Carlo Ancelotti is confident that Cole is happy at Chelsea and would not leave the club. Mourinho, on the other hand, has now become desperate to secure Cole’s service after failing to sign Aleksandar Kolarov who recently signed for Manchester City.

Failing to sign Ashley Cole would be a huge blow for Mourinho who is burdened with a huge expectation following Real Madrid’s two dismal seasons

The Real Madrid manager has reportedly asked the club officials to make a £20 million-bid for Cole. He is even also keen to offer attacking midfielder Rafael van der Vaart in a part exchange part cash deal for Ashley Cole whom Mourinho signed from Arsenal during his managerial tenure at Chelsea.

Reports also suggest that Mourinho is going to give a last try to land Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard who has also been one of the priorities of the Portuguese.

Overall, the Ashley Cole’s transfer to Real Madrid still looks undertain with Chelsea showing no interest in negotiations.

Is Arsenal Still in Mesut Ozil Race?

German youngster Mesut Ozil has become a hot property in the summer transfer window following his impressive showing in the recently concluded World Cup 2010 in South Africa. The Werder Bremen midfielder has now been a target of a number of European clubs including Arsenal.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was one of the earliest managers who showed interest in Ozil. However, initially Werder Bremen was reluctant to hear offer for the 21-year-old, but realizing that the player may leave the club as a free agent at the end of the next season as his contract expires next summer, the German club is now reportedly keen to receive offers for the attacking midfielder.

Naturally, it should be good news for Wenger, but the problem is that a number of a big spending clubs including Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also tracking the player at the moment.

Even Manchester United, who were reportedly interested to spend even £25 million for Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder, is also keen to secure Ozil’s service. However, still it seems that Arsenal is in the race of securing Ozil’s service.

First of all, Werder Bremen is currently expecting an amount around £15 million and Wegner may be tempted to spend the amount for Ozil knowing that Barcelona would once again revive their Fabregas interest next summer and it would be hard to keep hold on him. So, Wenger may consider Mesut Ozil as a like for like replacement for Fabregas and Ozil’s arrival could bolster the Gunner’s attacking line up significantly.

Secondly, Chelsea is currently looking to sign Brazilian midfielder Ramires from Benfica, while Manchester City is busy with James Milner deal. Barcelona may be Ozil’s favorite destination, but the Catalan side has not shown any strong interest yet. However, Real Madrid and Manchester United could give some stiff challenges to Arsenal.

With Steven Gerrard most probably staying at Liverpool and Kaka being out of favor, Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho could go for Mesut Ozil all the way, knowing that the 21-year-old would be able to serve for a long time.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is also in the lookout for the possible replacement of Paul Scholes who would retire at the end of the next season and Ozil could be a highly qualified candidate to replace Scholes.

Overall, Arsenal may face some strong challenges, but there is every possibility Arsene Wenger could land Mesut Ozil at the Emirates stadium ahead of the next season.

Nemanja Vidic Committed His Long Term Future to Manchester United

Manchester United center back Nemanja Vidic has decided to continue his club career at the Old Trafford. He was one of the priorities of Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho’s transfer target. However, the Serbian has now signed a new four-year contract with the Red Devils.

Nemanja Vidic joined Manchester Untied from Spartak Moscow in 2006 and very soon became Ferguson’s first choice central defender alongside Rio Ferdinand.

The 28-year-old has already won one Champions League, three Premier League, three League Cup and two Community Shield titles with the Old Trafford side. Over the last four seasons, Vidic represented United in 186 matches in all competitions, averaging more than 46 matches per season.

So, the performance of Nemanja Vidic was convincing enough to attract Mourinho’s attention. However, seeing the possibility of losing a highly reliable defender, Ferguson did not make any delay to offer him an improved deal in his attempt to ensure Vidic’s long term commitment to the club.

Sir Alex Ferguson has already won more titles then any other managers in the history of Premier League. However, he has all the reasons to be worried about United’s future. First of all, Manchester United is under huge debt and there is no way Ferguson could spend a lot in the transfer market.

Moreover, a number of reliable veterans like captain Garry Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and goalkeeper Edwin van Der Sar are now towards the end of their careers. Rio Ferdinand is also on the wrong side of 30.

The most important thing is that Untied youth side has failed to continue providing quality home-grown talents like it once did in early 1990s when a pool of young players including Neville brothers, Beckham, Giggs and Scholes came through the Manchester United youth academy.

Amid all these problems, the news of Nemanja Vidic staying must have come as a sigh of relief for Ferguson as well as Manchester United fans.

Manchester City Completed Aleksandar Kolarov Signing

Serbian left back Aleksandar Kolarov has become the latest signing of Manchester City. City has spent £18.9 million to land Kolarov from Lazio. The deal was finalized upon the completion of the medical. He has also been granted work permit and it is expected that he would join the City squad after their America tour.

Aleksandar Kolarov also attracted Real Madrid interest. Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho considered Kolarov as the second option if he failed to bring in Chelsea left back Ashley Cole. Now that, Kolarov has completed his move to City, Mourinho would become desperate to land Cole.

Aleksandar Kolarov is a highly rated full back who has excellent attacking intent and most importantly his versatility is also a welcome addition for any side. Though he is a specialist left back, Kolarov is also comfortable in the midfield. The 24-year-old spent 3 seasons at Lazio and played 82 league matches. He is also very good at shooting.

Now, the arrival of Aleksandar Kolarov means Wayne Bridge’s first team appearance would be significantly reduced and Liverpool has reportedly shown their interest to add Bridge to their squad which currently lacks a quality left back.

With the Kolarov signing, Manchester City has already spent around £80 million so far in the summer transfer window. However, reports suggest that manager Roberto Mancini has not yet completed his summer signings and is currently on the lookout for a midfielder and a striker.
